I was in Element’s, the eponymous shop here in Chicago, a few weeks back, and spotted these fantastic pin’s and had to orchestrate a shoot. I absolutely adore the photographer Richard Avedon. This image remind’s me of his work. I really try to do a story within a story when styling a shoot. I want to invite the reader to think and process the image outside the fashion box. The pins were from the designer Jenny Bird. I think they are quite genius, a bit Salvador Dali muddled with a bit of Jean Cocteau. Jenny Bird’s jewelry is available at Elements.
