How to Create the best gallery wall ever!
As I write, we’re currently getting ready for our next open-hours weekend, which involves redecorating and creating a welcoming interior for our visitors and returning clients. For today’s post, we created a gallery wall with some of our art that is currently for sale on the website and in the store. In creating a wall of art of different sizes, colors, and subject matter, we chose a focal point. In this case, size and color matter. I prefer to center the main piece that is rich in scale, color, and detail. Scale and centering are key to a balanced tableau. After the centerpiece is up, I balance it out with corresponding pieces on either side, keeping in mind to balance size and color, and subject matter, so it tells a story within a story. I then fill in the blank spaces with smaller paintings that are of the same colors and genre, making it as condensed as you’d like.
