Welcome to September, Welcome to the Black Issue . We dedicate this issue to Black men, Women, Boys and girls everywhere. In our efforts to be relevant in a social media world and to be trending with the best, We’ve decided to dedicate the month of September to all things Black . Black, as in black skin, is back in vogue. We’ve seen it on the Runways, in Music, in art and yes in Fashion. Black Girls are ruling the runways from New York to Paris. It was most evident at recent shows for Valentino by Pierpaolo Piccioli, Balmain and Dior. The girls from the motherland, Aduth Akech, Shanel Enyasiase, Anok Yai, Sabah Koj ,are all stars for this season and beyond. For todays post we photographed this editorial on two new faces at Ford Models, Zamarra @zammarra and Isaiah Thompson @i.saiahthompson. Both extremely young. I advised on the meaning of individuality and how to presents oneself as a true model. Its always challenging working with young talent, as they are not in tune with turning into a character on set in front of the camera. The images here are the result of directions given to bring the clothes alive.Emil Sinanagic photographed this portfolio. Makeup by Laura Weatherby , @laursbymakeup101 using Pat McGrath Beauty at Hair by Osmane DaCunha using Oribe products at Ford Artist. Fashion Editor/ Art Director, Patric Chauvez at Ford Artists , of course.
